CHAPTER 57 Differences in Opinions

  Wren's POV

Hayden, who had been crouching there the whole time, suddenly raised his arm, and I saw the knife he was holding.

Was he planning to kill Silas?

Silas was indeed hateful and deserved to die, but not now!

Ralph and I instantly used the power of the wolf to flash forward. Ralph knocked the knife out of Hayden's hand.

Hayden's pupils contracted, and he stood still, his gaze unconsciously following the flying knife.

Suddenly, Silas jerked forward and stabbed Hayden with a knife tip he had grabbed from somewhere.

Hayden snapped back to reality and immediately dodged to the side, but still got scratched. Blood dripped down, leaving deeper marks on the already-dried bloodstains on his shirt.

"Do you think the powder needs to be inhaled to take effect?" Silas laughed. "Of course not, my foolish child. As long as it touches you, it will work."
