CHAPTER 16 Do You Remember Me?

  Margaret's POV

  Although he tried to appear calm, I could still feel his dissatisfaction and resistance towards me, as if we were breathing the same air and it caused him pain.

  The fact that I made him uncomfortable made me happy, so I had a bold idea. When he reached for the contract, I took the opportunity to sit on his lap and hugged his neck affectionately, imitating the fake smile Sarah used to show when she met men.

  As I slowly approached him, he hesitated for a moment before his calm facade showed a hint of pain. The more he suffered, the happier I became. I thought he would push me away, but he didn't.

  As our lips got closer and closer, my happiness at his discomfort gradually faded, replaced by an inexplicable nervousness at his proximity. But, his sudden strong aura of aggression made my movements stiffen.
