CHAPTER 30 My Name is Margaret

  Margaret's POV

Watching Jacob's back as he left, I couldn't help but feel anxious.

"My dear daughter, let's have a talk."

Saul finished his wine in one gulp and led me to the gazebo in the garden.

"You two go to the intersection and report back immediately if anyone comes."

The two Dark Moon Pack warriors nodded silently and stood at the intersection.

  "Margaret."

It had been a long time since anyone called me by that name, so when I heard it again, I was a bit slow to react.

"Alpha." I stood respectfully in front of Saul and showed a humble attitude that I hadn't shown in a long time.

"I thought you forgot your identity, which is why you repeatedly ignored my orders." He tapped the stone table in front of him lightly.

"I immediately knelt down and begged for his forgiveness: 'No, Alpha. It's because Jacob has been wary of me.'"

Before I could finish my words, he kicked me down to the ground. The ribs that were kicked hurt so much.
