CHAPTER 23

  "They're all furious, especially the Orchid's pack allies," Caesar stated as I drove back to the mansion.

   

  Ever since we got the first call about the attack, his phone hasn’t stopped ringing from packs across the globe. They all want to reach me, but I wasn’t in the right state to answer any of them. Not that I have ever answered any of their calls.

   

  "Turn your phone off," I commanded Caesar, tired from the buzzing noise of the phone and the angry voices that came through the call.

   

  "Yes, sir," he answered, immediately switching it off and allowing me to continue the drive in silence.

   

  For a moment, I wanted to drive to the orchid’s pack and meet Nalani; that was the only reasonable solution in my head until Caesar made me understand that she wouldn’t be there anymore.
