"You can't give in..."
"You can't give in!"
"No, Nalani." You can't..."
"What the hell?" I cried, yanking myself away from his grasp, breaking the kiss as I spat. His eyes were filled with unrestrained rage and burned deeply into my soul. His jaws clinched, and his arms were collected by his sides as his fists balled up.
I almost caved in.
I almost gave in to the kiss, forgetting the horrible things he had done to me and his egoistic character, forgetting all that I'd aimed to achieve, and losing focus on what I wanted. His kiss, his soft lips, and the taste of his lips against mine had, for a moment, made me lose my realisation of myself.
"Nalani," he called; his voice was rough and shaky. His voice was pleading.
I was in shock.
I turned to look at Heath; he wasn't pleased. A scorn was drawn across the corners of his face. His jaws were clenched, and his eyes were staring at everything but Terran and me.
