CHAPTER 77

  I packed my bags. Terran had agreed to let us move out of the mansion. He knew it wasn't the best time for me to be around his family and had reassured me that Emelia would calm down after some time away.

   

  "We just need to give them some time and space, everything is fine." He had promised.

   

  The darkness had spread across the night sky, there was not a sight of the moon, nor was there any sight of the stars in the sky. The heavens must also be grieving, or perhaps they have also turned their backs on me.

   

  My chest tightened, but Terran's warm hands held mine tightly as he led me into the car.

   

  "Your highness" A chauffer called to get Terran's attention. We both turned to look at him.

   

  "It's dangerous to drive in the dark; please let me drive you," he requested.

   

  "I'll drive." With those short words, he dismissed the chauffer, and we both watched him return into the building after bowing to us.
