CHAPTER 98

  NALANI'S POV

"I believe something has to be done about the increase in the number of rogues roaming around." Alpha of the Red Moon Pack said.

I was in my first meeting as an Alpha. The last time I stepped foot in this building was with my father, who had always forced me to tag along with him. Every other Alpha in the room were old men who gawked at me even though I had not even reached puberty.

  I shuddered at the memories.

After sending my family away from the mansion, I swore to never have anything to do with them or their pack, but the weight of my responsibility weighed on my mind. No matter what I did, I was always reminded that there was a pack that I swore my responsibility to.

I should have no obligation to ever speak to them; after all, they were the ones who broke ties with me, but the mark that they left in me was something I couldn't get rid of.
