CHAPTER 45 First Kiss

  Olivia's POV

  "No..." He finally couldn't help but laugh too. After a while, he continued, "Don't take over the dishwashing from me, okay? You're a guest...at least let me do this for you. Go sit over there and wait. I'll finish soon."

  I sat back on the sofa begrudgingly and watched him work.

  The next moment, the flowers around me suddenly lit up.

  "What is this..." I looked at the plant next to me in surprise.

  "Don't worry," Lucas said, "It's like a timepiece function. It lights up every hour to remind people of the time."

  "You're making me fall in love with this place, Lucas."

  "I couldn't ask for more."

  Lucas rearranged the utensils and took off his apron. "How about taking a break? I'll continue to show you around after this area's flowers turn purple."

  "Is this also a timing function?"

  "You could say that. It changes color every four hours from 9 a.m. Now it's 8:45, so you could use it as a timer."

  "What color comes after purple, pink?"
