CHAPTER 60 The Truth

  Cynthia's POV

I could faintly taste blood which caused my eyes to force themselves open. A pale face filled my vision.

  "Awake."

The red-haired woman pulled her blood-covered fingers out of my mouth as she causally chanted a spell, healing the wound on her finger.

  "Who are you?"

She smiled at me and morphed her face into Lydia's.

"It's you! What do you want?" It was then that I noticed Logan lying silently nearby, he had been tied up. "Logan!"

"What did you do to him?" I shouted at Lydia. My suspicions about him no longer mattered. I just wanted to keep him safe.

"You really do love him. Even though you know you are just a substitute, you still worry about him so much. I did you a favour, stupid girl. I killed him. You should thank me."

"No!" I struggled against the ropes that seemed thin but wouldn't break, instead they only grew tighter and tighter.
