Elsie's POV
Theo and Kai had been gone for a while, and although I knew they were okay, I still felt concerned for their safety. I had not experienced any sensation that suggested they were hurt or in danger, so I knew I had to remain patient for their return.
"You're pacing again," Oris glanced up at me from the book he has his nose in "Grab a book, take a seat,"
He was right, I had been walking up and down the library anxiously as my mind wandered to the worst.
"Sorry Oris, I just worry you know?" I smiled at Oris, he closed his book and set it down on his lap, as he sat comfortably on the leather sofa. I wish I had his calm.
"I'm surprised you haven't worn a path in that rug the way you've been walking over it so much," Oris spoke, peering over his glasses at me.
I wasn't sure if his comment was sarcastic or serious, perhaps this rug meant alot to him. A family heirloom maybe.
"Alright," I exhaled gently "I'll sit down,"
