　　The morning sun shone in from the window that we hadn't closed the curtains over last night, and I opened my eyes to see Elena lying quietly in my arms. Her long eyelashes left a small shadow under her eyes, and my mark sat proudly on her neck where I had bitten her last night.


　　I looked at the bite mark and felt a pang of satisfaction. Elena had finally accepted me and I had officially become her mate.
