CHAPTER 31 Overprotective

  Celeste's POV

The rocking of the car was enough to send me into a comfortable snooze. I had awoken after passing out in the back of Liam's car, but had never felt happier to be away from the family home. I tried to push the dark thoughts of Evelyn and Savannah from my mind, and what they had done to me. It had been difficult, but now was the time to enjoy the fact I was safe and in the warmth.

  Was I safe though?

If I had been in the car with Liam alone, maybe my concerns would have been enough for me to leave. But having Julian there with me made it easier. Despite Liam being a killer, I knew Julian would never let me come to harm. Not as my bonded mate.
