CHAPTER 56 Why Can't You Let Her Go?

  Liam's POV

Leaving Celeste to sleep, I took the opportunity to get myself home. The evening was drawing in and darkness fell.

As I drove home the roads were quiet. I felt a safe familiarity at this moment now, driving through this city, taking the same route as I had for a year. Something seemed comforting now though, Celeste was awake and rid of that horrific curse. I felt relief wash over me, I had her back.

I couldn't deny a giddy feeling danced within me, so many possibilities of our future whirled through my mind.

I felt torn between my feelings with Julian though. With Celeste not remembering his existence in her life, maybe it was a blessing for a fresh start for her. But I couldn't help feeling the sadness of how Julian must be aching right now. Years of a relationship they had built together, all disappeared from her memory.
