CHAPTER 78

  Kara

My mother observed me without understanding why I distanced her.

"You're treating me as if I were crazy. I'm not crazy, Mom. What's wrong with you?" I complained.

"Officer, I think Kara should rest. The psychiatrist will come in a while to check on Kara and ask her some questions to assess her mental health. I think Kara should rest and relax," commented my father.

My mother agreed with my father. I also wanted the police officer to leave my room, but my parents kept treating me as if I had a mental imbalance. Sara continued to get her way. She told me she would turn my life into a personal hell.

Sara didn't even have to lay a finger on me to harm me.

"Yes, but I'll have to return soon. We need Kara's statement for the investigation."

"I don't think we need to go through an argument, officer. The evidence against Scott is clear. He kidnapped our daughter and kept her captive."
