Caesar's heart raced as he held Grace in his arms, her unconscious form weighing heavily on his chest. He had never felt such fear before. Panic surged through his veins, urging him to act swiftly.
Just as he was about to make his way towards the door, it swung open, revealing Aiden with a mix of shock and concern etched across his face. Aiden's eyes widened at the sight before him; Caesar holding Grace, half-naked, his worry etched deeply into his every line.
“What did you do?” Aiden growled. Without a moment's hesitation, he pushed past the initial shock and moved closer to take Grace from Caesar's grasp. But before he could do so, Caesar held him back, his voice firm and commanding.
“No, Aiden,” Caesar's voice was filled with a steely determination. “You need to step away. I'm taking Grace to the hospital.”
Aiden's brows furrowed confused, his concern for Grace evident in his every feature.
