CHAPTER 23 Free to Move on

Caesar's footsteps echoed through the hallway as he approached Grace's office. He had a sense of unease gnawing at the pit of his stomach, a gut feeling that something was amiss. As he pushed open the door, his worst fears materialized before his eyes.

There, seated intimately, were Grace and his best friend, Aiden. The rush of anger surged through Caesar's veins, turning his normally warm gaze into a fiery storm. It was evident to him what was happening, and the betrayal felt like a dagger through his heart.

Grace, startled by Caesar's sudden presence, quickly pulled away from Aiden. She tried to gather her composure as Aiden remained silent, his eyes fixed on the intruder.

“Mr Anderson, do you need anything?” Grace asked, surprising Caesar.

“Not really,” Caesar muttered as he regained his wits. His eyes didn't leave Grace. Feeling his sharp, heavy gaze on her. Grace awkwardly sat down.
