CHAPTER 50 Invitation to his family dinner

Grace woke up to the piercing throb of a severe headache. She groaned and reached for her temples, attempting to ease the discomfort. As she opened her eyes, she noticed a glass of lemon water placed on the bedside table. Surprisingly, Aiden was standing next to her with a gentle smile.

“Morning, Grace,” Aiden greeted, handing her the glass. “I thought this might help with your hangover.”

“Oh, “Grace prompted on her elbows until she was half sitting and took the glass gratefully and sipped the refreshing liquid. The tangy taste of lemon provided some relief to her pounding head. She couldn't remember much from last night, but she was grateful that Aiden was there to take care of her.

“Is it better?” Aiden asked as he shifted his weight to one side. Grace nodded. Curiosity piqued, she mustered up the strength to speak.

“What happened last night, Aiden? I don't remember much.”

Aiden chuckled softly and sat down on the edge of the bed.
