Caesar's eyes burned with jealousy as he watched his ex-wife, Grace, and their daughter, Sophia, laughing and chatting happily with Aiden. Grace had left his house unannounced, and the sight of her enjoying herself with another man made his blood boil.
"What do you think of this…do you like it?" Sophia asked as she turned to Caesar only to notice him staring at Grace. She noticed Caesar's reaction and felt a surge of anger towards Grace. She had always resented Grace, and now she saw an opportunity to teach her a lesson.
"I think this is lovely," Sophia held Caesar's hand lovingly and pretended to bump into Grace, causing the things she was holding to drop to the ground, including a delicate porcelain heart-shaped gift that Aiden had bought for her. Grace knew that Sophia was doing it deliberately, and she felt a surge of frustration.
"Ouch," Grace muttered as she stepped away from the broken pieces, and Aiden was quick to Grace her hand.
