Grace and Caesar returned to the resort the next morning. Immediately they arrived, Grace was met with Aiden. Of course, Grace felt guilty and had no excuse to give him.
"I'm sorry, Aiden. Things happened so fast and…" she said calmly as soon as he took her to her suite. "He took advantage of my illness…it was not in my power to get back," Grace said sincerely, although she was telling him half the story, not the full one.
"Babe, you should have called me… I was so worried and…" Aiden was agitated. The fact that Grace spent two days with Caesar did not sit well with him. "Did he ever…" Aiden started, and Grace was startled. She knew what he meant. Any man would react in the same way.
"No, Aiden, that will never happen," she muttered despite how bad she was feeling. Lying to Aiden was not what she wanted. But she couldn't tell him the mistake she made.
