Chapter 75. Talented

Rey knocked at the door twice as he rubbed his hands together.

"Coming..." Claire's voice came from the other side. Rey waited leaning on the wall next to the door.

It felt like forever before he heard the door open. He stood infront of her and his jaws dropped. Claire was standing there wrapped in a towel. Her hair was wet and her body was shining in his eyes. Rey could not stop his eyes from trailing down to her thighs.

The towel showed most of her thighs. Her skin appeared flawless as Rey's eyes almost popped out. His eyes instinctively rose to her chest. The towel was barely hiding her breast and showed out most of the cleavage.

He gulped as his eyes rose and landed on her face. Her face was burning up. She was gritting her teeth so hard that her gums almost bled. She raised her leg and landed a kick on Rey.

"Pervet!" She said all flushed.

Rey was sent flying and hit the other sides wall. But he barely felt anything when his eyes almost got a glimpse of her treasured part. His nose bled instantly. Claire locked the door and leaned on it.

She slid to the ground and slapped her burning cheeks. She then opened the door and spoke.

"I will find you at the party. You should leave," she said and headed to her room.

Rey leaned on the wall seated on the floor. His eyes seemed to have stars. His tongue almost out. He did not seem to have heard her words. He seemed lost his mind. He had seen the forbidden fruit.

He wiped the blood from his nose with the back of his hand. He was smiling like a mad man. He stayed like this for almost a minute when Claire's words entered his mind. The words seemed to have met a barrier in his ears.

He stood up and almost stumbled. The pain was unbearable as he sat back again. Who could have thought that that small kick could carry so much damage. He took like another whole minute and stood up.

He stared at the door and all he saw was Claire standing there. He took a step and went outside the dorm. People were already leaving the dorms heading for the party hall. Rey followed them and they finally reached it.

It was getting filled every passing moment. The hall had a storey on the sides and almost circular. At the center was a platform. Some were dressed as waiters. Doing these jobs helped earn points thus many offered to do them.

At the centre of the roof was a chandelier lit with white glowstones. There were other glowstones on the walls that lit the room which was already getting dark. On the first floor, were green climber plants on the railing on the edge of the verandahs.

There were guys on them and were staring at the ground floor. On the ground floor were some flowers in vases. Some people were dressed in costumes of all types. Other had animals costumes and others had horror costumes.

Everyone was all smiles. Some people were meant for entertainment and were getting ready. During these times, the celebs were allowed to light up the mood. There were also musicians and dancers. Some were to show off their talents.

Sometimes, someone would stand infront of everyone and try to make fun of someone. These acts were often done by those of a high background. Some people were already sipping their wine or alcohol.

Waiters were passing other non alcoholic drinks like juice and water. There was also a cake that was to be cut at the end of the party by Irene and Jackson. Rey went to the stairs and climbed to the first floor.

He did not let go of the railings which were decorated with white flowers. He went to the top and stood at a point he knew that no one would miss him. He stood on the verandah and placed his hands on the railings.

The view there was nice and nothing going on below would miss him. Everything went silent when they heard a tune. All eyes landed on the platform where they saw a girl.

The girl was 5'6 with black hair. Infront of her was a Harp huge almost three quarter her size. Her hand barely reaching the last strings. She was pulling the strings skillfully. Her tune seemed to break through every barrier demanding to be listened to.

The tune could almost be seen as it moved from the harp. Her eyes were closed with her head leaning on her right shoulder. The tune did not require words for one to get its mood.

The tune seemed to go for the tear glands and many could not hold back their tears. Many who fell victim were ladies and few boys. Rey was trying hard not shed any tears.

He quickly rubbed his eyes after making sure no one saw him. He actually shed a tear. He did not feel like a man anymore. The tune did not stop though. The girl seemed to also shed tears. That resonated with the tune when they hit the ground.

As if in cue, there came a drum beat. Everyone turned their eyes and saw an incoming guy. He was 6'0 with black hair. On both his hands were two drumsticks. On his waist was a belt that supported the drum.

The tune could play for like five seconds before the next drum beat. Some smiled when they heard them play. The girl was still shedding tears and when the tear hit the ground, there was new sound. A violin!

The source was anonymous and after few seconds a girl almost 5'5 appeared with a violin on her right shoulder. The tune was building up and the drum beats resonated with each other.

Unaware, some started clapping to the changing tune. Other were shaking their heads according to the tune. While others were unconciously moving their legs and stamping on the ground.

These were people who had an ego that stopped them from clapping or shaking their heads. The tune was so great that it forced their legs to move. One of these guys was Rey.

His head was still and focused and his hands still on the railings. He was unaware of his moving leg. Other girls were unconciously swinging their waists slow. The tunes was already changing and its momentum building up.

It was heading to become a danceable tune. Others were now holding each other's hands leading one another to the front and dance. Then, there was a new sound. It was a deep bass that seemed to shake one to the core.

This actually caused their hair to rise. Those who had been holding back went forward and joined those who were already dancing. There was a flute that came and together with the bass drum, their source was anonymous.

Rey was wondering why she was taking so long. This was a chance for them to have the first dance and practice for the second and those to come later. People were still streaming inside but the hall didn't seem to ever get crowded.

It was like it was getting wider with every new person that came in. Some got in and hurried to the dance floor. No one could bear to miss such a beautiful dance. The tempo was increasing and their dance seemed to get faster.

After almost ten minutes, the harp stopped and then the flute. The violin stopped and the drum stopped. Then the deep bass drum struck last. It was like one could see the sound waves.

When the bass stopped, people clapped and those near one of the players, they lifted them and cheered for them. The cheering stopped and they were put down. People were still excited as they hit glasses to each other's and, cheers.

Rey stopped one female waiter and picked wine. He sipped it slowly his eyes never leaving the door. What was taking Claire so long. He could not also imagine that Aurora was ready to miss all this.

This party seemed that it was going to be better than the last year's. The introduction music had put everyone on edge. Everyone was in suspense of what laid in the incoming hours.

Below, one could see groups of people. Sometimes, one could hear cheers when a celeb entered. Few royals who chose to join Origin Academy were cheered for and were well known.

The Mayors' children were cheered up on and also some of the major sects. One may ask why Rey was not cheered for yet he was of the major Phoenix Sect. It was because he had no achievements and barely showed up infront of people.

Also he was the fourth son and was not well recognized like the first and second sons. Rey would enjoy that but he could not go flaunting with money alone. In the academy, no matter how rich you were, one needed to have achieved something.

His eyes landed on the entrance and caught an odd sight. One he could not have imagined to have happened.
