Chapter 80. Heavenly Match

Alaric knew that with every second they wasted, Rey was in danger. But what harm could few more second do? He was having the moment of his life here. It was not that it was his fault Rey had fallen for a crazy girl.

Aurora finally let go after realizing she was the only one hugging him. He had already let go of her.

"Rey is in danger. We must hurry and save him." Alaric said. Aurora panicked when she heard him.

They were just wasting time when their friend was in danger.

"I really would love to go but I refused to buy clothes for the party. Also, wasting too much time could be detrimental for him," Aurora said panicking.

Alaric just smiled when he saw her expression. Could it be that she had started looking down on his abilities?

"And who do you think I am?" Alaric asked. Aurora did not get his question directly but she then was struck by realization.

She suddenly felt his hand on her shoulders. "At the moment of danger, panicking could result to death. When encountered with a problem, the best thing is to get calm and think of a solution," Alaric lectured her. She nodded but her eyes darted from side to side.

Alaric laughed. She was not even listening to him. He cupped her cheek and made her to look at him but her eyes seemed to not stop moving

"Look at me," he said in a commanding manner. Her eyes stopped for once but started moving again.

Actions did better than words. He brought her closer to him and kissed her forehead. He then pulled her to his chest and made her listen to his hertbeat.

"Listen carefully. Let my heartbeat calm you down," Alaric said.

Aurora's eyes stopped moving. She took deep breaths and her worries seemed to disappear. She raised her head and look at him to see him smiling.

"Just how does he do it?" She could not help but wonder.

"Remember that at these panick times, the best decision is to find something to calm you down. If you have nothing that helps, always remember this moment," he said and stood up.

He gestured her to stand up and she obliged. He stood two meters away from her and pointed at her with his hand. Her body was instantly covered with a golden light for five minutes. There was a small array on the ground she was standing.

At the five minutes span, he created new clothes on himself. In two minutes, he ended up wearing a blue buttoned mage robe reaching close to his knees but was unbuttoned. Inside, he was wearing a white T-shirt.

His old pants were replaced by new ones. They appeared to be jeans like and blue black in colour. White shoes on his feet. He made his hair and a belt appeared on his pants.

At the same time, the golden glow on Aurora disappeared. She appeared to be wearing a sleeveless and strapless white dress. It started from the armpits. It had flower patterns all over it.

On her chest, the dress showed little cleavage. The dress fit her features well but from her waist, it accentuated outwards and reached the floor. Even her feet could not be seen. Infront of her, were a pair of high heels goldish in colour.

Her hair had been unstrapped and fell comfortably on her back to her waist. There were some thin parts of the dress that were around her biceps. They were intertwined in flower patterns. She appeared like a present day bride.

Alaric turned to look at her and he felt he felldeeper for her. He stared at her for long that her cheeks burned.

"Stop staring. You are embarrassing me," she said shyly. Alaric just laughed at her.

" Your beauty will be unbeatable," he said

He then walked towards her and squatted. He searched for her leg underneath the dress. He finally found the right leg. He helped her put on the shoe and locked it. The same for the left leg. When he finished, she was slightly taller.

"Today you are going to be my bride. Aurora, do you accept?" He said kneeling on one leg and offered her his hand. She did not hesitate and locked their fingers.

"Then my bride,follow my lead," he said and stood up. He led the way out to the hall.

They were few meter away from the entrance and Alaric locked their elbows. "Whatever happens, do not let go of that hand and do not let that smile on your lips fade," he said and she nodded.

They stood at the entrance and saw that Rey's clothes were midair. To think that they would use such a method to try to shame him. He saw the four guys standing infront of Rey and a girl he could guess who.

The laughter was so loud that no one noticed them. He saw their first attempt to destroy the dome fail and he applauded for Rey in his mind.

"So he has brains," he thought. Seeing his underwear in the sky, he knew that he was naked.

He saw the second attempt and he quickly used a creation array to make him new trausers. He had to put them to shame so, he did not cover his upper body.

Aurora was panicking but seeing Alaric's calm face dissipated her worries. The fire dome disappeared and the white steam gradually disappeared. When she saw his bare back, she almost rushed forward but seeing Alaric's smile, she refrained.

She remembered her promise few seconds ago and decided to change the topic. The laughter was still loud.

"What is that you used to make this dress? Its an array, right?" She asked looking at his smiling face.

That confident smile of his usually put her to ease. She knew that someone was definitely going to lose face. He smiled and nodded.

"I had been working on it since I woke up. Its my new invention called automatic creation array. I will teach you soon enough," he said his smile still widening.

She did not seem to realize that the laughs were dying one by one and soon the hall was silent. Looking at Rey, he had pants on! She was also rejoicing like Rey.

So that was the reason for that smile. She heard him scoff and laugh lightly. He then broke the silence and started clapping. Every eye turned to them and he took a step forward.

With every stair he stepped on, he clapped. Aurora felt her inside burn. She was embarassed but she put on a calm face. She also realized the wider smile was for the spotlight he had created for them.

She did not let her smile disappear and neither did she let go of his elbow. She followed his lead proudly but she did not clap. She was so tensed up to do so. Also he had not asked her to.

Now she could not help but wonder what his plan was. They finally stepped down the last of the stairs and a path was made for them. One could have thought that they were guest. Even Irene and Jackson had already arrived and they were the ones to cut the cake.

Then the two were late and it was almost cake time. One could have thought they were the cutters. Even despite all their jealous thoughts, they all agreed to one thing.

They were the most beautiful couple that even surpassed Irene and Jackson. Aurora's beauty was known but to think Alaric would compete fairly with Jackson was unbelievable.

Everyone was now wondering where he had been all along that they had never seen or heard of him. One could not miss the fact that he was arrogant to the bone.

Only geniuses dared to have the spotlight and no one dared to interrupt the stage. Just who was he? The four on the stage watched with envious eyes.

The stage they had spent a lot of time scheming for had been taken away by the same guy they schemed against. They could not beleive that Aurora was holding his hand with a smile on her face.

To fuel their rage, she was wearing a wedding dress. The guy was dressed as a groom. But a fact they could not refute was that none of them stood a chance with Aurora. He was the only one for her.

They agreed but they also were men and were handsome. They were also of a higher class than him yet she chose him. Their minds only rang with one question.

"Why?"

They finally reached the stage. Their presence alone demanded for silence. As they reached the stage, Rey was already dressed in clothes similar to the ones he had been wearing.

Those who saw this could only suck in cold breaths. The fact that no one could read his cultivation stage was alarming.
