Eleonora smiled gently. "It's okay, Kai. I'm just worried about how you're doing. If there's anything that makes you uncomfortable, don't hesitate to say so."
Kai was relieved to hear those words. He nodded and smiled back. "Thank you, Duchess."
While Eleonora enjoyed her breakfast, Kai stood beside Aisha, feeling awkward. He tried not to make any noise as his feet moved on the thick carpet. A few minutes passed in silence, until finally Eleonora took a sip from her cup of warm tea and looked at Kai seriously.
"I need you to help me with something very important, Kai," Eleonora said suddenly.
Kai felt his heart beat faster. "What can I help you with, Duchess?"
Eleonora sighed. "I need more information about the Berdine mansion and the events that took place there. I'm worried there's something bigger than we know. I'm sure you know more than meets the eye."
