This was supposed to be her lucky break! Rika was supposed to get away from her worsening life.

But neither her family nor her 'friends' were ready to let her go, and it did not take long for her peaceful life to turn sour.

"Your family abandoned you the second they did not put any privacy on your information. Anyone could have caught on to who you were with some research. Does that not feel unfair to you?"

The man asked, but Rika refused to fall into his trap.

She would lose the second she showed emotion and spoke up before him. Her silence did its trick, and the alpha felt ticked off enough to let Rika's head go.

"Tsk, as things stand, I don't think your family would pay enough money for me to let you go. I also do not want to cause any trouble by calling the Goodwills. So, how about you behave for me and get sold like a good toy."

"I am sure many rich people would pay good money to buy someone like you - a beautiful beta from the Goodwill family. I already know a few people who would pay me well."

Rika had not been fearful of this situation until now, but she began feeling slivers of fear crawling up her spine.
