At the hospital waiting room

In the hospital, Tiana got her full body check-up as scheduled while Valerie waited in the waiting room with her mask and shades on.

She was silent and patient, observing as one or two persons walked in and out of the waiting room.

She was bored and checked the time regularly. It was boring but she couldn't be careless and fall asleep. Who knows who would approach her in her vulnerable state?

"Excuse me, is this seat taken?" She heard a man ask. He was wearing a nose mask as well with shades. Was he in hiding like her?

But why did he feel familiar?

She glanced at all the other seats. Why did he want to sit next to her?

"Unfortunately, it's taken." She said to him and she felt him snicker. She frowned and said, "Are you trying to pick a fight with a stranger?"

"No, actually, I'm trying to pick a fight with my wife." He said, taking off his shades and Valerie rolled her eyes.

He was always acting so immature.
