And so when Karlus was offered a second life by the gods, a question suddenly occured in his mind.

The Emperor Is Bored Today

Theron and Rian froze, their eyes darting around to locate the source of the sudden voice.

"Stay close to me, young master," Rian quickly instructed, her voice low and calm, though her eyes were sharp and alert. She positioned himself protectively in front of Theron. She might be a woman, but she knew how to fight in case of emergency.

"Alright," Theron nodded as he diligently agreed to it. He didn't know what was happening, so it's better to remain cautious.

They cautiously moved towards the end of the alley, where the noise seemed to have originated. As they approached, they saw a group of rough-looking men surrounding a young girl.

'What's happening here?' Theron thought as he saw the scene in front.
