Artie spent the rest of the afternoon avoiding eye contact with Sir Kay while she was in meeting after meeting listening to the Lords complain, ask for assistance, and also size her up in only a few moments. It was an exhausting time, especially because Sir Kay was not going to let her forget that he was in the room with her.
He'd hand her water, snacks, and graze her shoulder when he was showing the Lord's out to grab another. He was a demon, and it took a lot out of Artie to make it look like none of it affected her.
Supper snuck up on her, but unlike the day before, Artie didn't feel as awkward this time. That didn't mean that she wasn't exhausted from the long day that she had today. The Lords had blended in a little more, chatting with knights and other Lords outside of their personal factions.
