Artie didn't know what exactly to expect, but it wasn't being removed almost completely from the party by Sir Lamorak.
He had taken her to one of those archways that she had asked Sir Lancelot about before they had even entered the party. A place where no other eyes could reach them. A place that she had thought was mostly used for taking a break from socialising, or for a rendezvous. Artie wasn't completely wrong, since when the curtain was pushed back she got a full view of what was on the other side.
It was a balcony overlooking the distant rolling hills. The trees rustled, and the sound of the party behind them was dulled as the curtain fell into place behind them. She was surprised by how easily the sound was absorbed, and how peaceful she felt just from taking in the view before her. Almost to the point that Artie was able to look over the fact that the balcony wasn't empty.
Sir Kay and Sir Geraint were there as well.
