Chapter 27: The Midnight Show [Part 3]

The Midnight Show — Any show that took place during midnight was known as a Midnight Show. But this Show itself was given that name.

=The Hall of Honor=

The country of Celestria was a huge one with a population of 399 million people. A country located in the Land of Psalms, the continent of melody, Altos.

It was believed that three great generations of the Music Emperors were killed here.

It could be said that the Celestria Country was the capital country of the continent, while the Star City was the capital and heart of this country. A place visited by millions of tourists.

This was also the city from which extremely talented artists emerged. Though most of them were Music Majors.

Even though the main focus was on music, a good flow of acting was appreciated by the masses.

There existed acting schools too, along with the versatile ones.

As a result, even though acting wasn't as important as music in their eyes, more than 150,000 online registrations in this field were done.

Of course, there was still a lingering doubt about whether all of them would show up or not.

Thousands of acting halls were booked by the administrators of the Rising Star across the country. However, undoubtedly all the eyeballs would be pointed towards the =The Hall of Honor=.

Even amongst other acting halls in the city, this one was the grandest and the most famous one.

This hall was booked by the executives, capable of holding more than a thousand people, but currently was closed since this was the area where the final round of the competition would be held.

Right now most of the participants were waiting with their family, friends, relatives, etc., while some were alone, in front of the halls and areas they were assigned to.

Some were brimming with confidence, it was clearly shown in their eyes that they were determined to win today's show, while others were here for the chance to showcase their raw unpolished talent, though not confident in their acting skills, still hoping and wishing to be able to pass the first round.

These people were in all kinds of outfits, hoping from the depths of their hearts that the script they would receive would match with the costume they were wearing.

And amidst the crowd, a figure could be seen slowly walking. He was wearing a black suit with a smooth black glove on his left hand. If one focused enough, then they'd be able to understand that those brown hairs were extensions of a wig.

One with even better eyes would be able to make out that his shoes were giving him an extra inch or two.

There was also a bag strapped to his back. The large bag seemed to be overpacked with things, ready to burst open at any instance.

However, undoubtedly the most peculiar thing on the young gentleman was the mask sitting on his face, covering his eyes too. Putting on the mask, in others' eyes, wouldn't be the best decision as it would hinder one's vision, if not entirely.

Moreover, the main concern was the fact that this was an acting competition.

And yet it looked like the man didn't care. While others were rushing towards the reception and registration sites as soon as possible, the masked man walked calmly.

The hall he had entered was the [Ocean Star Hall].

Quickly entering one of the registration sites, he showed his registration number, along with the document he downloaded.

"So you are contestant Blank?"

"Yes." His voice was quite cold and distant.

The in-charge looked at him, scanning the young man from top to bottom. After checking everything, he was handed a document and an ID card.

These people had surely put in a lot of money for this competition...

However, by making it into a TV show and uploading it onto D-Tube, Star Network, and Glowing Stars, they'd recover the money back.

"Go to room No.35, and if any oddities appear then come back here or go to any other in-charge."

Giving a subtle nod, the figure walked.

"We're in room No. 35. Man, I hope that the judges we get are lenient."

"Anyways, the competition of room 35 will be conducted at 12:55. Let's hurry."

"Brother Rick, what's the hurry? You'll definitely be selected for the next round."

"That's not necessarily true. Every year, the winner ratio is 1:3. One winner per three halls. I heard that there were more than 500 people participating in this hall alone; the battle will surely be fierce. The chances of me winning are really low." The man named Rick smiled as he said this with a humble tone, however a sense of pride and arrogance couldn't be hidden.

"Indeed. This competition is too popular. But, nonetheless, I'm really sure that you can be hired as a host for some grand shows, or as an actor for some soon-to-be-famous movies or series." Their words just seemed to add to his pride.

"You flatter me too much."

"Hehe."

Some of them were already friends, walking in a group.

Rick, wearing an oversized shirt, looked towards the masked man from the corner of his eyes, getting a little confused before scoffing inwardly.

Some people are really not meant for acting...

What kind of horrendous face must he have, for him to deliberately hide his face, eh?

With such an introverted personality, can he even act in front of the crowd?

Let's see, looks like I'll have a good laugh seeing his performance...

Within a few seconds, he had already judged and outlined how the performance would go. To him, this was surely to happen.

Let's not waste my time thinking of that clown.

Shaking his head, he continued walking, taking a few twists and turns before finally appearing in front of the door.

A small passage went on before he found himself in a huge room.

It was filled with over a hundred people.

He couldn't help but smile.

Today will be fun...
