Flowing Time

Some time passed since Ling Tian's breakthrough to the 2nd level of the Qi Refining Realm.

During this time, he continued his diligent cultivation, dedicating himself to refining his qi and expanding his knowledge of the Eternal Transcendence Scripture.

With each passing day, his understanding of the profound arts of various professions deepened, and his mastery over his qi grew stronger.

Ling Tian's bond with Xin'er grew, their relationship becoming a source of joy and warmth for the entire household.

His presence brought a sense of harmony and happiness, not only to his family but also to those around him.

His father, Yuan Wei, and mother, Yuan Mei, watched with pride as their son matured into a fine young man, his dedication to both his cultivation and his family remaining his priority.

On one fine day, Ling Tian and his family decided to venture into the city for a day of fun and exploration.

The bustling streets were a stark contrast to their serene home, but the excitement in the air was contagious.

Ling Tian, accompanied by his father Yuan Wei, his mother Yuan Mei, and his younger sister Yuan Xinyi, embarked on a journey filled with wonder and discovery.

As they traversed the crowded streets, Ling Tian marveled at the sights and sounds around him.

The city was a tapestry of vibrant colors and lively chatter. Street vendors called out to passersby, selling everything from exotic fruits to handmade trinkets.

Musicians played cheerful tunes, adding a festive atmosphere to the already bustling environment.

Ling Tian's curiosity was piqued by the myriad wonders of urban life, his senses alive with the pulse of activity all around him.

"Look, Xin'er! Look at those beautiful jade figurines," Ling Tian exclaimed, pointing towards a stall filled with intricately carved jade of pretty women.

"Wow, they're so pretty!" Xin'er replied, her eyes wide with wonder and curiosity.

Amidst the hustle and bustle, Ling Tian's bond with his little sister blossomed even further.

They laughed and played together, their joyous laughter echoing through the streets as they chased each other through the bustling marketplace.

Ling Tian was happy with the simple pleasures of sibling companionship, cherishing each moment spent with Xin'er and his parents.

These moments were precious to him, especially as he reflected on the missed opportunities and regrets of his past lives.

Determined to make up for those lost moments, he embraced a more carefree and childish demeanor, relishing the chance to create joyful memories with his sister.

"Got you, Xin'er!" Ling Tian teased, playfully poking her side.

"Big Brother, you're so naughty!" Xin'er giggled, swatting playfully at him.

Their playful antics occasionally took a mischievous turn. With a twinkle in his eye, Ling Tian would sneak up on Xin'er, startling her with playful antics and harmless tricks.

He would suddenly jump out from behind a stall or tickle her when she least expected it.

Despite her initial surprise, Xin'er would soon join in the fun, her peals of laughter mingling harmoniously with Ling Tian's.

Their parents watched with amusement; their faces lit up with smiles as they witnessed the siblings' bond growing stronger.

Yuan Wei and Yuan Mei played their parts in the day's adventures as well.

Yuan Wei, with his imposing yet gentle presence, guided the family through the throngs of people, ensuring that no one got lost in the crowd.

He shared stories about the city's history and pointed out notable landmarks, his voice a comforting constant amidst the urban clamor.

"Look at this, Tian'er," Yuan Wei said, pointing to an ancient statue in the city square. "This is a monument to one of the city's founding heroes. They say he had the cultivation of Core Formation Realm."

Ling Tian listened intently, absorbing the stories and the atmosphere, appreciating the knowledge his father imparted. Yuan Mei, meanwhile, purchased a handful of sweet buns, handing them out to her family with a warm smile.

"Here, Xin'er, Tian'er, try these. They're delicious," she said, watching with delight as the children bit into the warm, fluffy buns.

As the day progressed, they visited various shops, each offering unique and fascinating items.

Ling Tian's eyes sparkled as he examined a collection of intricately carved jade figurines again, while Xin'er was captivated by a vendor selling colorful silk ribbons.

The family even stopped at a small park where they could sit and enjoy the beauty of the city from a peaceful vantage point.

"Big Brother, can we get some of these ribbons?" Xin'er asked, holding up a handful of vibrant silk.

"Of course, Xin'er," Ling Tian replied with a smile. "Let's pick the prettiest ones."

In the midst of their exploration, Ling Tian couldn't resist one last prank. He picked up a feather from the ground and, with a grin, approached Xin'er quietly.

Just as she was about to take a bite of her sweet bun, he lightly tickled her ear with the feather.

"Ah!" Xin'er squealed, turning to see her brother's mischievous smile. She burst into laughter, swatting playfully at him. "Big Brother, you're so naughty!"

The day in the city was not just about exploration; it was about strengthening their familial bonds and creating cherished memories.

As they made their way back home, the setting sun casting a golden glow over the city, Ling Tian felt a deep sense of contentment.

The joy of playing with Xin'er, the pride in his parent's eyes, and the simple pleasure of being together as a family filled his heart with warmth.

As he lay in bed that night, reflecting on the day's adventures, he made a silent vow to treasure and protect his family, ensuring that they would always have days filled with laughter and love.

Afterward, Ling Tian devoted himself to the pursuit of knowledge, immersing himself in the study of various professions.

With an insatiable thirst for learning, he absorbed all the basic knowledge he could find, poring over books and scrolls in the city's libraries with unwavering determination.

From alchemy to formation, he delved into each profession with equal fervor, seeking to expand his understanding and expertise.

As he absorbed the knowledge contained within the pages of ancient scriptures, Ling Tian found himself captivated by the common points of each profession.

He marveled at the ingenuity of ancient alchemists and the skill of master craftsmen from this mortal world, their knowledge serving as a beacon of inspiration on his own journey of self-discovery.

Ling Tian's journey over the past six years has been a blend of rigorous cultivation, deep study, and cherished family moments.

Each experience, whether it was a day spent exploring the city with his family or an evening lost in the pages of an ancient book, contributed to his growth and prepared him for the challenges that lay ahead.
