Facing the Truth

For the first time, Leonor was able to witness the extent of damage done to his body.

His pale skin stood out even in the dark room while the scarred half of his body was more hidden in shadows. She had to sit on the bed to see him from up close where he lay in the center of the bed.

At that moment, she realized his bed was smaller than hers. She glanced around the room, noticing for the first time his room was smaller than hers as well.

Originally, she thought it seemed small because the dark colors closed everything off, but it was clear she had the master bedroom of the house while her husband, the true master, stayed in the smaller place.

The entire situation made her feel even worse.

Her eyes returned to Desmond who lay on the bed, unaware of Leonor. She preferred him not to see her peer at his body. He would take it as disgust rather than curiosity as he always did.
