Leaving The Reylson Manor

Barbara sighed for the umpteenth time; her mood was as low as the weather. She hung her head so low that it nearly touched the carriage's floor.

"Big Sister, are you ill?" Hans asked.

Barbara slowly lifted her head, meeting the worried gazes of the children. She felt an overwhelming urge to burst into tears, but she shook her head and returned to her previous position. The indescribable emotions that flooded her after being forced out of her mansion left her at a loss for words.

Despite countless apologies, Kristie seemed to turn a deaf ear to her pleas. Uncertain of where this carriage was headed, Barbara had no desire to ask. All she wanted was to reclaim her own body, currently under Kristie's control. Who knew what she would do with it? A surge of panic washed over her, imagining her once elegant image crumbling to pieces.
