Kaisar paused and glanced back over his shoulder. "What now?"
"Could you... could you stay for a little while?" she stammered, unsure of why the words came out. It was just that the howls were growing louder, and she didn't want to be alone right now, no matter how much she might resent him.
"So you know how fear too? Where is your ferocity? You show it whenever you fight with me?" he said with sarcasm.
Feeling angry, Barbara frowned. "Ignore my words earlier! Go out!" she ordered.
To her surprise, Kaisar stepped into the tent, lowering his body to avoid hitting the entrance. He remained silent, standing a little way from the firepit. Barbara shifted uncomfortably under her blanket but did not say anything further. Though not exactly comforting, his presence was somehow reassuring, and she tried to ignore the warmth that spread in her chest at the thought.
