Tahira had called Khan out in the garden. She wanted to have a serious conversation with him.
They both sat and he watched her contemplate on what she wanted to say. Whatever it is she needed to say must have been so hard for her that she couldn’t say it out to her.
Did she not reciprocate his love? Was he too hasty? She must be wanting to totally turn him down. Khan thought of all these in his mind but before he could go farther with his thoughts, she said.
“I’m leaving….I’ll be leaving Oregania” she said.
“I need to go look for my parents and find out what’s beyond the kingdom walls. But, I don’t wish to abandon my people too, which is why I want you to rule in my stead.” She sighed and continued.
“I do not trust my Uncle and my Aunty, I feel they would rule the kingdom to filth. I’d have proposed marriage but I do not know if I would make it back.
I feel my parents are alive and I wish to find them wherever they are, and slay whatever it is that took them.”
