Kael

Kael's eyes narrowed as he watched Lady Ophelia from afar, his mind racing with questions. Was the child she carried his? He had to know. But how could he, a commoner, possibly find out?

He knew that approaching Lady Ophelia directly was out of the question. She was a noble, and he was just a commoner. He would be thrown out of the castle, or worse, if he tried to approach her.

Kael decided to try and gather more information before making his move. He struck up a conversation with one of the castle servants, a friendly-looking woman who seemed willing to chat.

"Excuse me," Kael said, trying to sound nonchalant. "I couldn't help but notice that Lady Ophelia is... expecting. Do you know when the child is due?"

The servant smiled politely. "Yes, the child is due soon. Lady Ophelia is being well taken care of by the midwife and the rest of the castle staff."
