Reunion mess

"When Miss Valeria comes, send her inside immediately." Markos was inside his office making some notes. He informed the assistant who walked out of his cabin and closed the door. Markos leaned against the chair and closed his eyes, chuckling upon recalling his wet dream. Something unexpected happened yesterday.

"Valeria. Oh, Valeria~" He pronounced her name in a sweet manner while licking his lips. "You have no idea how easily you can still excite me." Opening his silvery eyes, while staring at the roof, Markos grinned knowing his intentions. "Only if you hadn't made things awkward between us."

Markos shook his head with a weak smile this time. Shifting his attention towards the files on the table. "Let's see what you have done in these ten years, my love!" Hiring a private investigator, Markos had already dug out the whole history. He wished to have some dirt on Valeria to tease her.

"Oh my! You really have a talent to lose money, babe!" Markos chuckled in surprise, while skimming through the notes. "I wonder what made your business instincts go rusty. These are some huge figures, unexpected from you at least, Val." He had a gut feeling that something must have happened.

"Charity to a foreign orphanage? Interesting." Flipping the pages he was expecting something like that from her. Valeria was always kind and generous despite having some other bratty characteristics. "Not surprising. There must be something you have done out of your nature."

Markos wanted to find something solid, skimming over the pages he halted on one. "A marriage? What the fuck, Valeria?" He was unable to admit that reading it made him uneasy. Even though Markos had some feud to solve with her. But he still could not comprehend that she could move on easily.

"Castello Karman? That fucker!" Markos read the name and immediately slipped to his picture. Recognising his biggest business rival, he could not contain his anger. "How dare that asshole marry my Valeria? Did her father even think about her happiness or not?"

Markos felt his blood pumping towards his brain this time. "How could he do something like this? Poor, Val." He knew that Castello didn't have a good reputation. And if they actually got married then Valeria must have suffered a lot. "How long were they both married?" The major question!

"For freaking three months?" Markos groaned with a bad taste in his mouth. Plenty of other pictures and scenarios appeared in his head. "No. no. Valeria didn't even like him. Nothing would have happened between them." The thought of Valeria with someone else in the bed made him angry.

Even though Markos was unable to forgive her for what she did to him. But there was a soft part of him which could not hate her. "If she had any romantic feelings for Castello, why would she divorce him?" Markos threw his head back and stared at the ceiling. "She didn't even really sleep with me that day."

Valeria had drugged him for sure to click the pictures. Markos didn't have a clear memory of that night but he could potentially say that they never slept. It was a lie Markos spread as revenge, when Valeria leaked her pictures. Well, that was at least what he believed. Both of them really had a big understanding.

"I am certain she didn't even let that asshole come near her. Valeria is not someone whom anyone can trick or control." Markos knew her inside out and concluded her character to be a strong one. Perhaps, somewhere deep down Markos was giving himself hope. "Goodness! I cannot even bear anyone praising her!"

Slipping through the pages Markos carefully read everything. Upon not finding any dirt on her he tossed the file in the secret drawer. "Come on, Markos. Don't overthink. There are ways to find out about that. Just ask Val about Castello." He could not understand exactly what he was feeling.

Pursing his lips while leaning against the chair when Markos heard his phone ringing. "Oh? Who is this?" Attending the call Markos inquired about the caller. "Patrick? Ah, Patrick James. Yes, yes. I remember you. How can I forget?" Upon recognizing the bully from his university, Markos tensed up.

The question which rang in his head was the reason for that sudden call. Patrick had called over the office contact which was all over the internet. "A reunion? Suddenly after ten years?" Markos composed himself and sounded calm. Though plenty of hideous memories flashed in his head.

However, there was no use of recalling all that when he wasn't even the same man anymore. "Interesting! Yes, count me in. Text me the venue, I will be there." Hoping to see all those bastards once again who used to bully him. Markos had a bad past with them and this time he had the upper hand.

Ending the call Markos snickered and licked his lips. He hadn't really been in contact with anyone from his batch. However, Markos knew that none of his classmates had achieved any significant success. Except one. Castello Karman. Otherwise, he would have seen anyone in those parties for big names.

"I wonder if Valeria will come or not. She hadn't been the same bratty princess anymore." Knowing how proud her nature has been, Markos bet that she wouldn't go. "Valeria and Castello, under the same roof. Hah! Gonna be fun." He could not help but grin at the thought of the drama which would rise.

Shaking his head Markos chuckled softly and then resumed his work. Opening different files he began to study them while lifting his mind off Valeria. However, at the back of head Markos had already planned to ignite the feud between Valeria and Castello. He wished to see if they had something or not.

Markos was still not admitting that he had an utter confusion as to what he wanted from her. On one side, all he desired was revenge on her, which was why he wished for Valeria to attend the reunion. However, a part of him grew uncomfortable knowing that she had been married to someone earlier.
