Something more

The instructor Lucas looked at her with his eyes narrowed and remembered what he saw on her earlier and his brows furrowed, wondering what she could or could not do and whether she would actually be able to compete within the event efficiently. 

She looked at him and her eyes narrowed as she titled her head, waiting for him to give her instructions so that she could do what she need to ad get it over with, but he was just standing there, looking at her with a scrutinizing gaze, one which was starting to grate on her very nerves. 

She approached him and looked him directly in his eyes with her piercing gaze, which caught him slightly off guard and he looked at her, meeting her gaze. 

Her brothers exchanged glances, wondering what was going on and she looked at Lucas curiously, wondering why he was like that, but did not ask or say anything, just stood there waiting for him to give her the necessary instructions. 

At the same time, he heard a few murmurs around them and due to that, he was snapped out of his thoughts and turned his attention back to Violet, to get the session over with. 

"Just do a demonstration of one of your abilities if you have more than one or if not just one... Anything that will show you at least have what it takes... Do you undestand me?" He asked in a firm tone, one which would make most shrink back in front of him, but she just stood there, unphased by his attitude. 

"Got it..." She said as she turned away from him and looked at the magic enhanced targets that were set up for them to test some of their abilities on. 

Her brothers exchanged glances, wondering what she will do to leave a good impression and Violet's eyes narrowed as she lifted her right hand up and a lightning ball formed in her hand and she released it, causing the floor to shake a bit and it split into three ways, hitting all of the targets, causing them to engulf in flames and it reflected around the area. 

Lucas left staring at her, as well as a few of the other participants, since they were not expecting that, some even thought she would only be able to do something small, but what she did left an unexpected impression on most. 

"Well, well... Looks like she is getting better at a fast rate," Kei said with a chuckle. 

Luca glanced at his younger brother then nodded before looking back at Violet with his brows furrowed, since that only added to his already complicated thoughts revolving around her and the latest drastic changes that had been happening around her and he sighed. 

"Well done... That was by far one of the best demonstrations yet, clearly you are not all bark and no bite... There is more to you, let's see how far you can go in this event, princess," Lucas said to her and he glanced at him and her eyes narrowed. 

"Thank you... I assure you, here is not where I will be stopping," She replied as she walked past him and their eyes met and he smirked. 

"Once the demonstrations are finished with your current abilities, the next will be combat, once we see what you guys can do, that is how we will set your next activities and I assure you, none of it is not going to be easy so you better prepare your backs for hard work, there will be no leniency," He said with an authoritative tone that made some of them shrunk back.

Violet glanced at him as she rejoined her brothers and Kei and Luca looked at her, Luca had many questions he wanted answers to but did not know where to start, since he had a rockier relationship with Violet. 

'This is going to be interesting, this instructor... Something about him is unusual,' Violet thought as their eyes met again and he smirked at her causing her brows to raise a bit, but she ignored it as the other participants began their demonstrations. 

Soon after it was Kei's turn and she paid close attention to his demonstration, which was strong and quite pleasing to the eyes, since Kei had a lot more experience than her, being trained by their father and together with Luca. 

When he finished, he approached her with a smile and she ruffled his hair, slowly trying to open up a bit more, with him for the time being at least, since she hardly trusted anyone, especially those around her. 

"You did well... Next time though focus more on your core and the control... To manipulate your abilities in any shape or form you would like or is most suited to you," She said to Kei and he chuckled, then nodded, taking her suggestions quite clearly. 

"Got it... I will practice a bit more than that, I know to manipulate your abilities to match your imagination is no easy task," Kei added and she nodded then patted him on his back, glad that he was finally seeing straight. 

"She is right, it is quite a complicated thing to do, to mist people, some cannot even get it under control even if they somehow managed to do it, so how about I give you both a little demonstration today, just pay close attention," Luca said as he walked away and went to do his demonstration, which piqued Violet's interest. 

Violet looked closely to Luca's action, wanting to see what he would do next and despite being at quite a distance, he could feel her gaze boring into him and he could not help but smirk, silently tell her and his brother to pay close attention to what he was about to show them. 

Luca took a deep breath as his eyes began glowing orange and he raised his right hand up, before glancing back at some of the participants and Violet's eyes narrowed as she looked at his every action keenly. 

Flames began forming around his right hand and he manipulated it in the form of a dragon which explode upon hitting and engulfing the targets and the flaming energy dragon circled around the targets.
