A Problem

Red's POV

I stood in the middle of the grocery store like a statue, too confused to know what to do at the moment. I couldn't miss seeing Carmie since I needed to ask her so many questions that would help us rescue Alejandro.

But Destiny is waiting for me in my house. She sounded too excited about something, and my heart hammered as I thought of her possible surprise.

Is it possible that she wanted me back as her boyfriend? It gave me a thrill, but I couldn't ruin this moment with her step-sister. Carmie holds the key to everything. I didn't feel guilty at all that I was using her.

Carmie was heartless when she did those absurd things to Destiny, and she deserved to be played with since they plotted to ruin Destiny's reputation. It hurt me so much since that time; I could do nothing for my ex. I became part of their games and paid a high price for it by being tormented and haunted by my conscience every day after betraying her.
