I Turned Ugly

Destiny's POV

After I woke up, I asked, "Why did you help me, Lela?"

I was disoriented about where we were and how we escaped.

"I couldn't take it anymore, and I am sorry I was late. The doctor said you needed to undergo surgery to get your face back." She responded as I slowly touched my face and winced as I felt the pain.

It came all rushing back to me. Carmen poured acid on my face, and I am no longer the beautiful daughter of Alejandro. Red is happy now with Agnes, and I turned into an ugly woman, and no one would accept me, not even my father.

I trembled, and my shoulders shook as I cried, feeling the pain of Carmen's wickedness. I should have convinced my father to put her behind bars.

"I am sorry, Destiny," Lela mumbled, and I shook my head.

"You don't need to apologize to me, Lela. I am grateful that you saved me and even put yourself and your family in danger because of me," I responded.
