Leila planned for a dramatic end to her stay with the Campbells. 

She wanted a clear confrontation with Charlotte and Isaiah. Her main motivation was to get some closure. She lived her entire life wondering why she had been abandoned, only to discover it was by design. 

She could not live in peace knowing that anyone involved did not get some payback. It did not matter if they had some difficulties. The fact is that they had participated in the incident from twenty years ago. 

Her grandparents agreed with her seeking justice from the Campbell family, even though Charlotte was their child. Of course, Leila promised not to touch their lives or target Holly and Amelia as long as they did not harm her. 

Leila made this promise unprompted because she was worried that her adoptive grandparents would not fully support her planned actions. The Lawsons told her they trusted her judgement. 

The words helped Leila get rid of the burden in her heart.
