Charlotte understood what was going on. Her face became pale. 

Although she had enough wealth, she knew how her husband was. He had a lot of insecurities when it came to providing for his family. If he lost his business, it would break their family completely. 

"Leila, why are you doing this?" Charlotte asked angrily. 

"I gave you a chance to tell me the truth," Leila said. 

Of course, she had never planned on letting the company go because it was built from the benefits they received from her past. Still, it was more satisfying to have them think there was a chance for redemption.

Charlotte felt a deep surge of anger as she watched her husband tap on the phone as he tried to find out what was happening to the company. She could not believe that her parents had raised such a white-eyed wolf.
