C151 Ansu Appeared!

There's an old saying: "Speak of Cao Cao, and Cao Cao arrives."

But Chen Guo never imagined that just thinking of Cao Cao would make him appear. As he was about to search for Ansu, the sky abruptly transformed. A massive rift tore through the dense clouds, revealing an enormous bird head, resplendent and golden, radiating with a brilliant light.

Then, in a majestic display, the entire golden bird burst forth from the clouds, much like a colossal blue whale breaching the surface of a tranquil ocean. The bird's body was so vast it could overshadow a football field, rendering Chen Guo as insignificant as an ant in comparison.

"Ansu, a level 51 mythical creature with a combat strength of 1.4 million! Fierce, formidable, the progenitor of the Cold Crows!" The system announced the identity and the staggering combat strength of the great bird.

So, this was Ansu, with a combat strength of 1.4 million!

"Damn it, just my luck, why do I always come across such nightmarish beings?" Chen Guo muttered, his spirits dampened. He had assumed it was a straightforward side quest, never anticipating a target so formidable and fearsome. Without his presence, Zhou Tao and the rest stood no chance of completing this mission.

The onlookers on the ground were equally stunned and awestruck.

"Look at the size of that bird! It's nearly as big as an aircraft carrier!"

"One of its feathers is larger than my whole body. How can we even think of fighting this beast? I'm out of my depth here!"

"So this is Ansu? Talk about a side quest from hell! Thank goodness we called for Village Chief Guangcheng. Otherwise, we might as well pack up and head home; we're no match for a creature like this!"

The less powerful villagers shook with fear under Ansu's imposing presence, while even the stronger ones felt a sense of hopelessness against its massive form. Had Chen Guo not been hovering in the sky, they would have scattered in terror. This was the kind of monster that could strip away all courage!

Jiang Yan, gazing at the golden Ansu, exclaimed in disbelief, "This is what we're up against for our mission? What kind of absurd quest did we sign up for? If it weren't for Village Chief Guangcheng needing to gather Cold Crow Grass, we'd have no choice but to make a run for it!"

Zhou Tao remarked, "The strength of our mission target certainly surpasses our own capabilities. Yet, there must be a strategy to weaken it. We can't just charge in blindly; that approach is reserved for our village chief, who boasts the highest fighting capacity in the world!"

Reflecting on his encounter with Lin Suzhen, Zhou Tao recalled that the key to handling Lin Suzhen was to locate the Desolate Ancient Scripture, use it to diminish his power, and then seal him away. Unfortunately, due to Chen Guo's overwhelming might, by the time they had secured the scripture, Lin Suzhen had already fallen to Chen Guo.

As for Ansu, they had no choice but to leave him to Chen Guo, for they were ill-equipped to confront such a formidable beast directly.

"We should scour the area for any means to weaken Ansu! As for fighting, forget about it; it'd be like throwing meat buns to a dog—utterly pointless," Zhou Tao advised the group.

The consensus was clear, and they dispersed to seek out a method to sap Ansu's strength.

High above, Ansu gazed upon the remains of his offspring, his roar seething with rage. In human speech, he bellowed, "Vile human, was it you who butchered my progeny in their sleep? You shall suffer the consequences of your deeds!"

Chen Guo, unfazed by Ansu's ability to articulate human words, was not taken aback. Given Ansu's status as a mythic entity of immense power, comparable to a minor demon in the world of Journey to the West, his speech was to be expected.

Facing Ansu's fury head-on, Chen Guo stood his ground. "Indeed, your descendants met their end by my hand. Feel free to join them in death," he responded coolly.

Ansu erupted in wrath. "You seek your demise!" He flapped his wings, casting a shadow over the land, and lunged at Chen Guo with talons bared. "I will rip you apart and consume you, turning you into eternal excrement!"

"You really are foul," Chen Guo quipped, dodging Ansu's onslaught with ease. Employing the Flying Thunder God Art, he instantly materialized atop Ansu's back—a spot he could not reach with either beak or claw.

"Singularity of the Sword!"

Perched atop Ansu's back, Chen Guo unsheathed the Cosmos Sword and unleashed the Singularity of the Sword technique, carving a massive gash across Ansu's back, from which blood gushed and feathers scattered.

"Scoundrel, get off me!"

Ansu thrashed wildly, attempting to dislodge Chen Guo.

But Chen Guo clung to Ansu's back like a burr, relentlessly unleashing a barrage of skills.

"Myriad Swords Spell!"

"Sword God!"

"Divine Fire!"

"Universe Toss..."

Battling this avian beast proved far simpler than contending with Lin Suzhen. Lin Suzhen, a formidable human warrior, possessed profound combat instincts and was virtually without vulnerability.

Ansu's flaw, however, was glaringly apparent—its back. Anyone positioned on Ansu's back could evade most of its attacks with ease.

Then, it was just a matter of calmly executing one's skills.

Inside, Ansu seethed with fury.

This contemptible human had pinpointed its Achilles' heel immediately, affixing himself there like a stubborn nail, rendering most of Ansu's potent assaults ineffective.

"You dishonorable mortal, get off my back and face me in an honorable battle! Your cowardly behavior will earn the gods' scorn!"

Ansu's anger escalated from fury to impotent rage to an uncontrollable tempest of wrath.

If rage could take physical form, Ansu would be ablaze.

Despite Ansu's frenetic contortions to shake off Chen Guo, his feet were rooted to Ansu's back, unshakable.

Regardless of Ansu's tumultuous rolling, Chen Guo remained as immovable as a mountain.

"We'll perish together!"

Ansu, sensing his own weakening state, had been on the defensive, scarcely landing a blow on Chen Guo. On the rare occasion he did, Chen Guo's Golden Light Shield thwarted the attack. Driven to madness by this unfavorable predicament, Ansu faced a mountain peak and, with wings thrashing, hurtled toward it at breakneck speed. Such a suicidal collision would grievously wound Ansu, but Chen Guo, still on his back, would fare no better.

It was a desperate exchange of injury for injury, life for life.

Cornered by Chen Guo, Ansu had no recourse but to resort to this desperate strategy.
