Chapter 6

Elsa and other patients had their blood samples collected for laboratory testing to determine their health conditions. Shortly after,Elsa received her test results,prompting the doctor to invite her and Lilian to his office to discuss the findings.

Upon arriving at the doctor's office, Elsa and Lilian sat nervously, anticipating the doctor's words. The doctor initiated the conversation by addressing Elsa directly,saying, " Elsa,here are the results of your tests," and then handed the test results to Elsa.

Elsa examined the results and discovered she wasn't pregnant,but there was additional information below that puzzled her. She then requested the doctor's explanation. The doctor responded, "You are not pregnant,Elsa,but there's an issue. You've tested positive for HIV." Shocked, Elsa questioned, "How is that possible? I've never had this before,why now?"

The doctor inquired if she had engaged in recent sexual activity,to which she confirmed. He then explained that the individual she was intimate with could be the source of her HIV infection, transmitted during their sexual encounter.

Upon hearing this, Elsa's demeanor shifted drastically as she began to feel as though her life was nearing its end. She had heard about the struggles of HIV patients, especially those without financial means for treatment,and it filled her with dread.

Despite this,the doctor urged her to return promptly for immediate medication initiation to prevent further harm to her body and spending more on treatment.

Elsa broke down in tears,and Lilian embraced her in an attempt to console her. "It's okay,Elsa. Everything will work out," Lilian reassured her. Elsa, overcome with emotion, responded, "How can everything be okay when I have contacted a deadly virus? I can't even afford the medication, Lilian," she said through her tears.

The doctor comforted Elsa and informed her that certain medications were available at no cost, ensuring she could maintain her health regardless. Grateful, Lilian and Elsa expressed their gratitude to the doctor before departing for a quiet garden to talk.

Meanwhile, Wilson was occupied with work at his company and his interactions with other women. However,he took a moment to call his friend Anna to check on her well-being, having heard she had been hospitalized due to a brutal attack by some individuals.

He inquired if Anna was familiar with Elsa,but she denied any knowledge of her due to her strong dislike for Elsa. His reason for asking was to prevent Anna from discovering their sexual encounter,as he planned to leave Elsa. However, unbeknownst to him,Anna was aware of everything but feigned ignorance because of her animosity towards Elsa.

Upon reaching the quiet spot, Lilian proposed to Elsa that she should visit Wilson's apartment to inform him about her situation so he could assist her with her treatment expenses, considering it was apparent that he had transmitted the disease to her.

Elsa mentioned that she needed time to consider before going to Wilson's place, recalling that he had previously forbidden her from visiting. Lilian, in an attempt to persuade Elsa, emphasized that Wilson was accountable for their situation and had no authority to reject or neglect Elsa since they had been intimate.

After spending weeks in the hospital,Anna was released once she completed her medication regimen. Upon returning home, she discovered that her father had taken control of her car and credit cards, depriving her of the substantial resources she was accustomed to.

In the following days,Anna was unable to return to school as she no longer had a car. She feared ridicule from others,as she previously boasted about her father's possessions.

However,Mr. Rockford observed that she had been absent from school for an extended period and inquired about the reason. Anna replied, " Dad I can't attend school without my car or sufficient funds for my necessities."

"Anna,how could you? Mr. Rockford exclaimed. " I must remind you that this car you're referring to is mine,not yours. I provided you with a comfortable life because you're my daughter,yet you use it to oppress others. Do you believe everyone is equal? Just because you have privileges doesn't justify looking down on others,Anna," Mr. Rockford scolded his daughter.

Anna responded, " Dad, it isn't unfair to mistreat those less fortunate? They have very little to begin with." Mr. Rockford raised his voice sharing his own humble background and the hard work that led to his wealth. He emphasized the importance of never belittling others and insisted that he wouldn't give her the car keys until her attitude changed.

Mr. George, Elsa's father,was working at Quinn's Estate,tending to the flowers that adorned the estate's surroundings. Engrossed in trimming the flowers,he noticed Elsa, his daughter, heading towards Wilson's apartment. Wanting to remain unnoticed,he briefly hid to observe what had brought her to the estate.

Elsa went to Wilson's apartment at Quinn's Estate to discuss her situation with him. When she knocked on the door,a young woman in nightwear answered and inquired whom Elsa was seeking. Elsa explained she was looking for Wilson.

The young woman returned inside to fetch Wilson,who appeared sweaty after an extended sexual encounter with the woman who had answered the door.

Wilson was furious where he saw Elsa,asking,"Why are you here? I've warned you not to come here but you never listen." Elsa responded by revealing her recent HIV diagnosis and

expressing her suspicion that Wilson had transmitted the virus to her during their sexual encounter at Anna's birthday party.

The young woman who had been listening inside emerged when Elsa mentioned her HIV status. "Wait, is Wilson also HIV positive?" she asked, looking surprised. Then she furiously went inside to pack her items to leave Wilson's apartment thinking she might have also contacted HIV just like Elsa.

Wilson tried stopping her, but she refused and told him never to phone her again that he was disgusting and lacked self control to be sleeping with different women.
