Chapter 13: The Journey South.

Valmus still riding on the Chimeras back had crossed the Converging Central Desert and was now heading north towards the Primal Forest.

Along the way he noticed something that he had disregarded while on the Great Ocean , there were towering pillars in all four cardinal direction of havens.

One in the East of the Great Ocean, another in the West of the Abyssal Valley, another in the north of the gargantuan mountains and another in the south of the Primal forest.

He hadn't noticed them before because a lot was happening but now, now that his mind was calm and somewhat clear he could see the four Pillar that seemed to hold the heavens.

"Hey Farmer, what are those four pillars?" He asked his interest thoroughly peaked.

"Those are the Spires that hold the Divine Haven," he scowled both because of the name Valmus called him by and because of having to remember the divine.

"So the Divine live in another haven?" He asked trying to ascertain his own though process.

"No, we all initially lived in the same haven of the same plane, but ghose bastards saw themselves to be higher beings and thus against the will of this haven created their own where they dwell." He explained his gaze filled with smouldering fury, he took a breath before continuing.

"To do such a thing was natural extremely costly, it requires the sacrifices of many my wife and our entire pride and flock included. I was the only one able to survive purely because when it happened i was not there."  He heaved a heavy puff of air.

"Now a multitude of the surviving immortal beasts have gathered under the banner of another survivor of their demented actions to avenge our fallen."

"The first of our many objectives is to drag those Gods down to the havens they deemed unworthy and make it where they breathe their final breaths." His voice resonated with the havens which rumbled as if in support of their actions.

"Currently every pillar has an Immortal beast and an Invader who'll do their part so that the overall plan works out smoothly. I, no we are in charge of the South where the pillar of the Primal forest is stationed."

"After the havens fall, we'll meet with HIM. After that our war against the gods will come to an end, win or loose."

This was longest the Chimera had ever spoken, word for word Valmus could feel the raw emotions of the beast which truly made him question wether this was truly a beast or purely a heart broken man trying to reunite with his fallen lover.

'Maybe both, after all i did worse when Yenna perished by the hands of my foes. So in some way I can emphasize with M''oieri.' He contemplated as a passing memory resurfaced in his mind which he shook away.

'That was that life, this is another. My oast Karma be it good or bad will not affect my current, I have moved on.' He smiled lightly, a sad smile few have ever seen.

"M''oieri, you love burns like raging flame on a candle. As passionate as it is, it will surely burn you with it."

"I will not stop you from doing what you plan to do.

Firstly because I'm not strong enough to do so, secondly because were not close enough for me to do so and thirdly even if I were both strong enough to do so and we were close enough for me to do so, i would still not stop, do you know why?" He asked his face broke into a murderous playful grin, his eyes glowed with silver-gold and with an immense intensity that could very well burn the world to cinders.

"Why?" The Chimera asked after a brief silence.

"That would be hypocritical of me after all when my foes touched my woman I erased them and everything that related to the from the face of the earth."

"When they came for my clan even their souls were not spared as i dove into the afterlife to make sure they would loose even the morsel of a chance to reincarnate."

"For that is my creed and dogma and eye foe an eye a tooth for a tooth.

I would repay goodwill a hundred fold and I'll will a thousand fold anything else would be an affront to my existence." His voice was cold and chilling to the point where even the chimera felt a hint of danger?

'Interesting so even this little human can be a threat. It would seem I picked the right one, after all only he who has walked over the corpses of war can truly understand another warrior.' The Chimera affirmed inwardly.

"It would seem we're not cut from very different cloths." The Chimera chuckled.

"Ohh we definitely are, it's just that at some point we were both sown together by the same material." Valmus replied helplessly.

"Indeed, we are the same but different and different but the same."

"Wise words coming from you Farmer, i thought you could only eat not think." Valmus teased to which he chimera growled jokingly.

"You'll still be a fine dessert little human."

The two laughed, together for the first time since they met. A man and beast both approached a towering pillar with their goals common and aims intertwined.

A conversation truly was all they needed for the perspectives mo matter how different to find a common grey area.

"I wonder, how does the blood of the Gods taste like?" Valmus mused.

"It's not too bad, it's a nice delicacy that has some sweetness. But be warned it's quite hot, smouldering even. The current you will die the moment you swallow even a single drop of their blood. Not even Ursala's traits will aid you." The Chimera replied honestly and even went on to warn him of the dangers of the said action.

"Ursala's traits? Is that the foreign presence I felt subduing itself to me when she held me?" He asked finally obtaining some intel that would help him.

"It submitted? Strange a Krakens blood is usually very unruly and prideful."

"Yes that was Ursala's blood, you've inherited her regeneration factor which covers all three aspects of body, mind and soul."

"There's also the ability to survive underwater and possess multiple organs within one body without suffering from backlash."

"If your lucky you might have obtain a distilled form of her Imperial control over the ocean, in you case it could be a water body like a lake or something of the sort."

The chimera explained to the uninformed Valmus who made sure to obtain all the information he could.
