Valmus suddenly felt it, the subtle stirring within his being, it was as if something was waking up inside of him.

With a silent cry, he graped his chest and stared into the darkness, he knew what was happening, it was something all Aspirants who passed their First Nightmare had to undergo.

The feeling was not particularly painful or unpleasant, yet it was like eerily familiar, a pain he was oddly accustomed to.

Soul pain, he had experienced it quite a number of times be it in the Nine Havens or Earth, he had even experienced it within Vestia so it wasn't a new occurrence.

It was as though his soul was being shaken awake, infused with strange waves of new energy.

The said waves of energy did not come from any outside source rather it was coming from within, within his very being as though it had always been there, slumbering.
