Overhaul Vs Another Dabi

Overhaul: ...

He looks up slightly just to see Dabi standing right in front of them which caught him off guard he didn't expected him to come here this quickly. As he wonders what happened to Chrono.

(In his mind).

"Where did he came from? Where's Chrono?"

(Out of his mind).

Original Dabi: ...

His eyes widened as he locked eyes with the first link, shocked to see him with a woman who was holding a knife.

Izumi: Don't butt in league of villain.

She says it angrily while holding the knife, mostly focused on Overhaul and not Dabi.

Overhaul: Didn't expect you to show up? So quickly Dabi.

He smirks slightly as he callously discards Toga's lifeless body, treating it like nothing more than a pile of trash.

Original Dabi: You're the first link...

(In his mind).

"Why did the goat mask member just send me here?"

(Out of his mind).

Overhaul: ...

He looks at him, confused, but then hears footsteps approaching and sees the woman stab him in the chest without hesitation. His eyes widen briefly before a sinister smile appears on his face as she realizes it's actually Dabi she's stabbing.

Izumi: No I didn't want to kill you!

She pulls out the knife and glances back at Overhaul, who responds with a smirk.

Original Dabi: ...

His eyes widen as blood begins to appear, but the wound heals rapidly, the bleeding ceasing almost as quickly as it started.

(In his mind).

"Now I get it he brought me here so the first link could kill me."

(Out of his mind).

Overhaul: Huh? Did you survive that? How unfortunate. I guess I could kill two people.

A sly, twisted smile slowly spreads across his face, revealing a hint of mischief in his eyes.

(In his mind).

"How did Dabi survive that? It's impossible."

(Out of his mind).

Original Dabi: ...

Staying quiet and staring at Overhaul, he was caught off guard by this unexpected turn of events.

(In his mind).

Random: Something is wrong... This Link is much stronger. It seems that the copy of the book shares a powerful bond with the first Link. This Link is incredibly driven to kill.

Original Dabi: It seems that way...

(Out of his mind).

Overhaul: How is it that you're able to escape so quickly and possess such a powerful quirk? I suppose being part of the League of Villains has its advantages. Having multiple quirks and gaining sympathy from people due to your troubled past must be beneficial. Being in the League almost seems like a blessing in disguise.

His voice transformed into a demonic tone as if a demon was speaking through him.

Overhaul: It's often the case that people feel the most sympathy for those who have had difficult pasts. My own past was marked by experimentation when I was a child, and while I repeated some of those patterns, you have caused more harm than I have. How is that fair?

His body begins to radiate a fierce red glow, fueled by some unseen energy, as he glares at him with intense anger.

Original Dabi: I'm not sure what you're referring to, but it's clear you have some issues. However, I want to tell you something: the book is inside you, and it's going to take control of your body.

As blue flames engulf his body, he steps back, eyes fixed on his opponent, preparing for battle.

Overhaul: Of course, you don't know what I'm talking about, but that doesn't change the fact that the outcome is always the same.

After listening to Dabi discuss the book, he didn't understand what he was saying, but he did want to kill Dabi and that woman.

Overhaul: I don't care anymore...

In the blink of an eye, he vanished, only to reappear in front of the woman, his body enveloped in a dark red aura. With an unholy swiftness, he plunged his hand into her chest, ripping out her heart with a sickening wet sound. The woman's eyes bulged in terror as she realized her fate, her lifeblood spraying everywhere, bathing him in a gruesome crimson mantle. He let out a maniacal laugh as he grasped the woman's still-beating heart in his hands, the warm blood dripping down his wrists as he tossed it at Dabi, the sound of her final heartbeats echoing through the air as he reveled in his gruesome deed.

Original Dabi: ...

Moving away from the heart, he swiftly unleashes his blue flames straight at Overhaul without hesitation. His silent anger is palpable as he glares at him, having utilized Random's power to intensify his flames.

Overhaul: That heat...

He barely dodged the flames as he moved away from them, his skin dark red from the intense heat. He touched the ground, creating black spikes that shot straight towards Dabi.

Original Dabi: ...

His blue flames transformed into blue lava entirely in a burst of anger, which then clashed against the black spikes.

(In his mind).

"Random's power I can feel it getting stronger is it because I send power to the other me? Who knows for sure."

Both Dabi and Overhaul heard sirens in the background, signaling that the police and heroes were closing in.

"Should I defeat the book right here right now? But I can't if that cult member is lurking around. So I guess I have to find my other self."

(Out of his mind).

He quickly flees the fight, racing towards the base as he glances back to see Overhaul tackle him to the ground, where he is pinned down despite the blue flames engulfing Overhaul.

Overhaul: Don't you dare escape from me!

He begins to disassemble Dabi, a twisted smile spreading across his face despite the blue flames burning his skin. Meanwhile, both Random and the book utilize their energy to heal their users, resulting in an evenly matched exchange.

(In the underground hallways).

Dabi: I hear rumbling on the top something must've be going on.

Running as fast as his legs could carry him, he sprinted forward with Chrono hot on his heels, the two of them bursting through the doorway and out into the open air just in time to see Overhaul locked in combat with another Dabi.

(In the background).

Chrono: Overhaul!

His eyes widened in shock at the sight of another Dabi, a phenomenon he couldn't believe was possible unless it was the League of Villains, and Twice's ability to create clones made it all the more plausible.

Chrono: So I guess Shigaraki had a plan up his sleeve after all.

He looks back at Dabi with anger, suspecting that he is involved in the situation.

Dabi: That's me...

His eyes widen as he thinks Twice might have accompanied him, but he never mentioned his plans to Twice.

Overhaul: Two Dabis? So that piece of trash also came to save Toga. I hate break it to you but she's already dead.

He smirks slightly, but his amusement is short-lived as he wonders why Dabi hasn't succumbed to the effects of his quirk yet, despite having used it for a considerable amount of time. It's confusing, as he would normally expect his skin to be burning or in agony by now, but instead, he's met with an unsettling absence of pain, as if some unknown factor is actively preventing him from getting injured.

Original Dabi: You called me an idiot, but it seems you're an even bigger one, Overhaul. I'm sure you're wondering why your body hasn't turned to ashes. The answer is simple: the book is protecting you, just as Random is protecting me.

He headbutted Overhaul, pushing him away, and used Random's power to create chains that restrained Overhaul, at least temporarily, in order to make his way to the other Dabi.

Overhaul: You bastard!

Breaking free from the chains, he quickly grabs onto Dabi's leg, preventing him from leaving, and activates his quirk once again to disassemble Dabi.

Original Dabi: Damnit!

Already feeling the effects of Overhaul's quirk, which was being amplified by the book, he quickly retaliated with a powerful kick that struck Overhaul right in the face, forcing him to release his grip. The kick was so strong that it sent Overhaul flying across the street, where he crashed into another building with a loud thud.

Original Dabi: Other me!

He seized the opportunity to grab the other Dabi by the arm, swiftly sending power to him, and then shot Chrono a glare, warning him not to intervene.

Chrono: ...

As the sirens drew closer, he quickly ran inside, stepping away since it seemed to be going badly for Overhaul and him, but he had no choice except to stay.

Original Dabi: I'm granting you dark power from a demon I'm currently controlling. Use this power to stop the book, which will destroy your world if it achieves its goal. Be cautious of cult members, who can be identified by their goat masks. They're after Overhaul...

He releases his grip on the other Dabi's arm, hoping he grasps the situation, although he wonders if he could stop the book, but given how he struggled with the first link, it seems more challenging than expected. As he disappears completely after a man in the goat mask appears.

Dabi: ...

(In his mind).

"What the hell just happened?"

He hears the sirens coming in closer, their piercing wail growing louder with each passing second, as he immediately starts sprinting away from the scene, his feet pounding the pavement in a frantic bid for escape, despite the shock and adrenaline still coursing through his veins from what just happened.

(Out of his mind).

(At the broken building).

Overhaul: Damnit...

He utters the words softly, his head bleeding profusely from the brutal kick delivered by Dabi, and he looks around, his gaze darting wildly as the sound of sirens grows louder, signaling the approaching the police and possibly the heroes.

Overhaul: ...

He emerges from the hole in the wall of the building, quickly using his quirk to repair the damaged structure and his secret base, ensuring that the police department and heroes find no evidence of his presence when they arrive. He uses his quirk to disassembled Toga's body, completely dismantling it as a pool of blood seeps into the ground, leaving behind no visible trace or evidence of the gruesome act. At first, he wanted to escape from the police or the heroes, but there's a chance that a female hero who bears a striking resemblance to Eri might show up. He also used his quirk to disassemble Izumi's body completely, just like he had done to Toga earlier. Meanwhile, the police and heroes arrived at the scene, with the heroes being nearby. However, it was shocking to see the number one hero, Endeavor, arrive at the scene. Unfortunately, the female hero who bore a resemblance to Eri failed to show up.

Chrono: ...

He stays quiet, allowing Overhaul to continue talking, as he secretly wonders how he would manage to talk his way out of the situation. Deep down, he harbors a strong resentment towards Overhaul for putting them in a precarious position where they are constantly being watched by heroes and the police.

Overhaul: There's nothing wrong it was a argument between friends that's all.

He smiles slightly, despite having forgotten to heal himself, as blood continues to trickle down his face from the deep gash inflicted by Dabi's powerful kick.

Endeavor: Oh yeah explain the wound?

He looks at him, his eyes narrowing slightly as he becomes increasingly suspicious of him.

Overhaul: This?

He gingerly points to the gash on his head, a painful reminder of the brutal kick he received from Dabi, and forces a nervous smile.

Overhaul: It's nothing. I fell down.

He panics, his mind racing with anxiety, since he doesn't know if the lie he's fabricated is convincing enough to deceive others.

Endeavor: I expect you to be honest with me, but if I find out you've been lying, there will be severe consequences, including the possibility of prosecution and imprisonment.

He turns his back away from Overhaul and walks away from him.

Overhaul: ...

He smirks slightly as he looks up, his gaze drifting towards the female hero standing in the background, her features an uncanny resemblance to Eri's. She stands silently, her eyes fixed intently on him.

(In his mind).

"Eri?"

(Out of his mind).

This will continue in the next chapter.
