Chapter 4: The heart of a boy

"Isn't the food awful today, Eugene?" Samuel asked me.

"I mean it is the first day and you treat the students to this disgusting food!" Alex exclaimed.

I nodded at them. My gaze was captured by a striking brunette. Her lustrous brown locks cascaded like undulating waves, framing her face with elegance. Her deep, chocolate-brown eyes held a captivating allure, capable of melting any heart. Her complexion was as pure and radiant as freshly fallen snow, and her crimson lips appeared to be subtly pouting. Freya Collymor hasn't changed much from high school.

I often find myself in a whirlwind of emotions when I think about her and now when I see her it's as if nothing has changed, she remains the same as ever. Despite her seemingly cold demeanour, there's still a magnetic pull that I can't shake off. When I catch a glimpse of her, my heart races uncontrollably, and a rush of conflicting feelings overcomes me. It's like I'm torn between my wild impulses and the echoes of past heartbreak. My mind is clouded with uncertainty, asking whether it's worth taking the risk again.

It is not worth taking a risk for you again, Freya Collymor. Not when you did not even explain why you cheated on me.

I might never stop loving you. You might even think I am pathetic. Even I know I am pathetic. You cheated on me, you bullied me when I asked what was wrong, you slapped me. You humiliated me. Yet, I love you. I am still obsessed with you. I still feel like killing anyone who even dare approach you. Why do I still feel like this, Freya? Why?

Freya, why do you have so much control over me?

You, Freya, you are something else. I am going to take my revenge on you Freya. You will suffer just like I suffered. You will burn in humiliation just like I did. You will know what it is to have no one on your side. You will be punished by me, Freya.

"Sam, Alex?" I whispered.

"Yes?" they both replied enthusiastically.

Who can be better than my bunch of followers for some rumours to spread in college? I smiled looking at them.
