In the year 2020, Earth’s magnetic poles disappeared and humankind was nearly wiped out by cosmic radiation. Within the span of a hundred years, living creatures began to mutate and devour each other while the remaining humans, numbering in the tens of thousands, struggled bitterly in their man-made bases.
In the Abyss, home to the mutated xenogenics, there lived a sentient little mushroom. Because it had been nourished by the blood and flesh of the deceased human An Ze, not only did it take on a similar-looking human form, but a similar name as well: An Zhe.
An Zhe is determined to go to the human base to search for his spore, which had been harvested by humans. Once there, however, he faces the omnipresent risk of discovery and certain death as he tries to keep his non-human nature hidden from the Judges, whose responsibility is to inspect for and eliminate xenogenics like himself. And of all the Judges, Colonel Lu Feng is the most perceptive and merciless—as soon as he determines that someone is a xenogenic, he will execute that person on the spot.
But An Zhe’s mutation goes undetected by Lu Feng’s eyes, and so a tale of humans and xenogenics unfolds…

I loved this novel the mc is so sweet and cute while the male lead is cold but only warms up to mc and the romance is slowburn but thats what I like about this novel Its one of my favorite novels

thank you author for this wonderful story full, I honestly can't describe the story in short simple terms but I will say this story has left a deep impression on me that makes me excited for the next chapters to come. Also I thank the updates and am thrilled to see what happens now . I love it. the post-apocalyptic and dystopian storyline are now my favourite types of stories thanks to this. it so good that I have been recently searching online for the novels in paperback copies. the plot/storyline that that this story follow has inspired me to start writing my own post-apocalyptic and dystopian storyline. of course in saying that I will defiantly not copyright, however copyright, would not work anyway as this story is the most unique post-apocalyptic and dystopian story I have ever read. once again thank you for a story I can enjoy and read in my down time.
Okay ngl, this story had me crying, giggling, screaming and yelling that i genuinely thought something is wrong with me, but boom shakalakah i recommend THIS SOOOO MUCH, like wow damn i'm amazed as hell, i mean you'll have a train of emotions while reading but dw bb it'll be worth it (i took Lu feng before you so erm... yeah)
the best thing ive ever read. so surreal and amazing. it made so much sense how the words spun brought so much emotion. i could feel the emotions that can't be put in words but this book did.ill miss an zhe and lu feng
Sangat bagus dan mengharukan, latar belakang akhir dunia dengan romance yang sangat bagus. Meskipun endingnya agak kurang puas menurutku. Aku tidak tau apakah ini sudah sampai ending atau tidak, semoga season 3 terus berlanjut sampai dunia baru yang normal untuk kehidupan mereka
