LEONARDO GRIMOIRE

After leaving the dining table, Evelyn went to her mother's study and retrieved the Leonardo Grimoire.

She and Giselle then made their way back to Evelyn's room.

With the Leonardo Grimoire in her hands, Evelyn strolled through the hall excitedly.

"(Ever since I regained consciousness, I've been eager to get my hands on this book again. I'm really thankful that mother allowed me to have it this soon.)"

Evelyn raised the grimoire in the air, staring at it with much excitement.

"(Now I can finally start learning the importance of this missing fragment of the Descendant's Heel.)"

"My lady, would you like me to bring you tea and snacks to accompany you in your reading?" asked Giselle.

The maid's question distracted Evelyn from her thoughts. She stopped on her track and stared the attendant.

"(I was too excited to study the grimoire that I forgot Giselle's here with me. Hmm… I need to do something about this.)"

"Is something the matter, my lady?"

Evelyn nodded, "Yes, Giselle. There's something I need to ask from you."

"Name it, my lady!"

"From now on I will be studying the Leonardo Grimoire, so I will be restricting access to my room. You will not enter my room unless I give you permission to do so."

"Pardon, my lady?" reacted Giselle in confusion.

"I will also be having my meals in my room from now on, so deliver them to the door and I will receive them. Once I'm done with my meal, I'll leave the dishes in front of my room so you only need to collect them quietly without knocking on the door. Do not disturb me, I will call for you if I ever need an assistance."

Giselle, of course, was a bit surprised by this elaborate and specific request.

"My lady, I'm not sure it's exactly appropriate to… I mean, what will Mistress and Master Leonardo say?"

"My parents will understand this arrangement once you inform them. So just do my request as I tell you to."

"Um… as you wish, my lady." said Giselle. She curtseyed. "If you'll excuse me,"

The Leonardo watched her maid walked away. She could see the maid was feeling down for having been casted aside.

"(I'm sorry, Giselle. But I need to quickly study the grimoire so I can formulate my plan as soon as possible. Which is why at the moment I can't have any unnecessary distraction.)"

She stared back to the Leonardo Grimoire in her hand.

"(And more importantly, any prying eyes. As the grimoire might pertains divine knowledge, nobody could ever see what I'm about to do in my room.)"

Evelyn then walked into her room, sat by her desk, and laid the Leonardo Grimoire in front of her.

"(Now then, let's begin…)"

For the next one whole week, Evelyn would wake up before sunrise to train her body and circulate her mana vessel in the training hall and do another session just before dinner.

Even so, Evelyn would spend most of her time studying the Leonardo Grimoire in her room. Reading each page, studying them, making notes, practicing them, all so that she could fully understand the content.

And on the 7th day since she started studying the grimoire, Evelyn reached the final page.

She completed her analysis on the last page and laid down her writing tool.

Evelyn grabbed the grimoire and looked through the pages once more now that she had done reading them.

"(O Einsof, what a beautiful magic You've granted to this world…)"

There were many kinds of magic in the world God Einsof created.

These magic were each categorized into various Arts according to their nature.

For example, the Angel's Touch spell Evelyn used for healing was categorized under the Holy Arts section, which was a compilation of magic of divine nature.

There were many kinds of magic arts in the world Einsof created. All these arts were compiled in magic books called grimoires. The grimoire would explain the magic spell's origin.

For example, the Angel's Touch spell that Evelyn used to heal her body was a magic spell from the Holy Arts Grimoire. A grimoire created by the Church of Einsof.

Another example would be the Leonardo Grimoire where the Primordial Arts was hidden in.

There were all sorts of grimoires in the world and mages learn magic through these books. The more grimoires they learned, the greater the knowledge they acquire.

Despite its countless numbers, the magic in the world Einsof created ultimately can be divided into two: Conditional Magic and Unconditional Magic.

They are classified in accordance to their accessibility. In other words, the requirement for them to be used.

Unconditional Magic are magic arts which could be casted by anyone as long as they knew the spell's formula and have the sufficient mana to cast the said spell. There is no additional requirement to cast such spell.

For example, the Holy Arts spell, Angel's Touch, that Evelyn used to heal herself when she first awakened.

The spell within the Holy Arts Grimoire could be used by everyone since the Church that created the grimoire wanted the words of Einsof to spread all over. The Church did not put a limitation to the spells in their grimoire because they wanted more people to rely on the knowledge of Einsof.

On the other hand, Conditional Magic are magic arts which could only be casted once a certain condition is fulfilled.

For example, there was a magic spell from a certain grimoire which requires one to absorb a dragon heart in order to cast the said spell. If the user did not have a dragon heart, they could not cast it despite knowing the spell formula and mana needed to cast it.

"(Amazing! To think that a powerful magic such as the Primordial Arts is an unconditional magic unlike the other powerful magic arts I acquired to construct the Descendant's Heel when I was Princess Mariana. And to think how the Primordial Arts is also very suited to fight against demons.)"

Evelyn created a Primordial Arts magic circle on her hand.

"(The Leonardo Grimoire provided me with useful knowledge on how to utilize this magic. It's definitely going to help in my quest to find the rest six fragments of Descendant's Heel. The magic that will kill Satan.)"
