"She is not as simple as she looks." Evan stood behind Alex as he whispered that. They had seen how Nora forced the girl to fall and then walked away.
"Even a deer backed in a corner started fighting. She had been treated worse for years." Alex cut him. He would not believe that it was Nora's mistake. Not because he had a blind trust on her but he had seen how the girl had played tricks on her first and she had only retaliated to protect herself.
But Evan looked at Alex as if the man had gone senile.
"Forget about her, we are going for another race. Are you coming or are you going to stalk her all day." there was censure in his voice making Alex frown.
"I will come of course. The girl is not damsel in distress who needed my help." Evan rolled her eyes but pleased that Alex did not follow her like a fool. He did not understand what magic this girl was casting on Alex.
