Like A Child

When Kate woke up, Penny was not in the room. She frowned as it was the weekend. She was still groggy when Penny returned with a take out in her hands.

"You are awake!" she smiled at Kate. "I went running and brought your favorite steamed buns. Freshen up and eat some when they are still warm. I have brought a few sandwiches too." With a smile, she placed the bag on the table.

Kate stared at Penny with unease. Who would believe that this smiling girl had faced a dangerous blackmailer by herself last night to save her estranged sister. If only, she had been her sister instead.

Penny felt her gaze and frowned. "What is it?"

Kate shook her head. She did not want to reveal to Penny that she had followed her last night. What if Penny feels offended?

"I am just in the mood to laze around. Isn't it the weekend! Why did you wake up so early?" Kate stretched her lean body while Penny's eyes went cold.
